This superb mega-yacht with 132 staterooms is the result of the expertise of the Italian Fincantieri shipyard and French sophistication, as interpreted by designer Jean-Philippe Nuel. L'Austral remains faithful to our philosophy - to create a unique atmosphere, a subtle blend of luxury, intimacy and well-being.
A sleek silhouette softened by elegantly smooth contours and large, arched windows opening up to the sea and the light: so many features come together to give L’Austral her distinctive shape. Precious materials, discreet elegance and a perfect balance between chic and casual, combine to make you feel as if you are on your own private yacht. A design blending tradition and innovation, where a nautical mood has been subtly recreated. A welcoming atmosphere of relaxed sophistication revolves around shades of grey, taupe, white and ivory enlivened by touches of cinnamon, caramel and tan.. All our ships (except Le Ponant) have an onboard spa. Equipped with massage booths, hammam, a hair salon and fitness room that has panoramic ocean views, this well-being centre offers a large range of luxury treatments in association with the French beauty house SOTHYS Paris™.
The spacious, comfortable outdoor areas of our ships offer superb ocean panoramas. A heated seawater pool and solarium are located on the uppermost deck of our sisterships (Le Boréal, L’Austral, Le Soléal and Le Lyrial) and on the deck 3 of our PONANT EXPLORERS. Le Ponant has a 400 m² Sun Deck.
Different lounges enable guests to socialise and share convivial moments during their cruise. Discover the following on our four sisterships: the main lounge, an ideal place to meet over a drink and watch daytime or evening events; the panoramic lounge, an intimate piano-bar with a unique view of the horizon; and the outdoor bar, an atmospheric spot that has access to the pool and solarium.
The theatre is an entertainment venue where guests gather for events and lectures. During the day, there are talks by naturalists, lecturers, experienced guides and specialists. In the evening, shows, musical performances or film screenings are held in the theatre.
On board all our ships, a shop is open during sailing. It offers a selection of presents and souvenirs: clothing, jewellery, beauty products, postcards and accessories.
A choice of books and board games is available for you on board all our ships. The library on Deck 6 on Le Boréal, L’Austral, Le Soléal and Le Lyrial is also equipped with computers with Wi-Fi. On the deck below, you will find an image and photo corner, as well as our Kids Club offering games and a Wii™ console. All staterooms have direct access to On-Demand Videos.
Our Butler service is reserved for passengers travelling in one of the suites on Deck 6 on Le Boréal, L'Austral, Le Soléal or Le Lyrial. Throughout your five-star cruise, your Butler will look after every aspect of your well-being and be available to fulfill all your expectations.
Whether you wish to have breakfast in the privacy of your stateroom, savour a snack in the middle of the day or enjoy your dinner in an intimate setting, our Room Service is available for you. Have a gourmet interlude and treat yourself from a varied menu at any time of day or night.
For optimal comfort, a laundry service* is offered on each of our ships. You will find laundry pricing, bags and slips inside your stateroom. During your entire cruise, your steward or stewardess will be available to take care of washing and ironing **your clothing within 48 hours.
